Paris is one of my favourite places on earth, and I suspect it always will be. The fashion, the art, the food - the croissants alone are reason enough to keep going back. I could genuinely spend weeks inside the Louvre and still feel like I'd only scratched the surface. That kind of depth is exactly what makes Paris one of the best locations for a destination wedding for couples who care about culture, beauty, and being somewhere that rewards attention.
The city is an extraordinary setting for a wedding. I've photographed a wedding at Malliouhana, and it remains one of my favourite experiences as a destination wedding photographer. For couples who want a wedding that looks and feels like nothing anyone else has done, Iceland is the answer.
The city itself is smaller than most expect - compact, walkable, full of design-led hotels, exceptional Nordic restaurants, and a cultural energy that punches well above its size. I've photographed here - at Hotel Santa Caterina, one of the most beautiful properties on the coast - and I've stayed in Ravello, the hilltop town above Amalfi that feels like the coast's best-kept secret. Both experiences confirmed what I already suspected: this stretch of southern Italian coastline is one of the best places for a destination wedding anywhere in the world.
Hotel Santa Caterina sits on the cliffside just outside Amalfi town, its terraced gardens and private sea access giving it a sense of seclusion that belies its proximity to everything. The lift down to the water, the lemon groves, the views across the Tyrrhenian Sea - it photographs extraordinarily well, and the team there understand weddings at a genuinely high level.
