Bride and groom on the steps of St Giles House in Dorset
luxury wedding photography

as a DORSET WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER, I’M DRAWN to the contrast of its ANCIENT COASTLINE, ROLLING CHALK HILLS and STATELY HOMES, each a beautiful setting for images that feel CONSIDERED, ALIVE and entirely YOUR OWN.

Dorset has a way of stopping you mid-sentence. The Jurassic Coast alone -180 million years of geology exposed in a single stretch of shoreline, the chalk stacks at Old Harry Rocks, the sweep of Chesil Beach - gives a wedding photographer more to work with than most counties manage in their entirety. But Dorset is not just its coastline. Inland, the county opens into rolling chalk downlands, ancient market towns, country estates surrounded by farmland that has barely changed in centuries. It is a landscape with genuine depth to it, and that shows in the photographs.

As a Dorset wedding photographer, I work with that depth. The venues here range from clifftop settings above the English Channel to converted barns deep in the countryside, historic manor houses to vineyard estates with views that stretch for miles. The county attracts couples who want something genuinely beautiful without the noise - a celebration that feels rooted in the English landscape rather than imposed upon it. Dorset wedding photography lends itself to an editorial approach: honest emotion, considered frames, the particular elegance of a day that knows exactly where it belongs.
