FRANCE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

My name is Leah, I'm a destination wedding photographer who loves to travel the world. My love of France began when I was only 12 years old. Visiting there for the first time, I was blown away by the Eiffel Tower. Ever since, I have visited France many times. When you take that first bite of an authentic, freshly baked croissant - it feels like I'm home all over again.

I'd love to be a part of your special day and would love help you plan your wedding in France. Get in touch and see if I have your date free...

A destination wedding is a type of wedding in which the bride and groom travel to a location outside of their home country to exchange vows. Destination weddings are often held in popular tourist destinations, such as France. While destination weddings can be expensive, they offer couples the opportunity to exchange vows in a truly unique and memorable setting. With so many beautiful locations to choose from, it's no wonder that destination weddings are becoming increasingly popular.

Native Photographer or Destination Wedding Photographer?

france wedding photographer

Planning a wedding is no small feat, and choosing the right photographer is one of the most important decisions you'll make. After all, these are the photos that you'll look back on for the rest of your life. If you're getting married in a stunning location like France, you want to make sure that your photographer is up to the task of capturing its beauty. Look for someone who has experience shooting in your chosen location and who knows how to make the most of its unique features. With the right photographer by your side, you can be sure that your wedding photos will be truly unforgettable.

So, should you pick a destination wedding photographer who travels to your destination, or try and find someone local to your wedding?

If you're planning a destination wedding in France, you might be wondering whether it's worth hiring a local photographer or bringing one over from your home country. There are pros and cons to both options, but there are some definite benefits to working with a destination wedding photographer who has experience of destination weddings, especially if they've shot in France before.

The biggest plus of booking a destination wedding photographer for France is that they will speak your language. You'll be able to speak with them lots throughout the planning process, and potentially even meet up before your big day. This goes a long way to easing your nerves. If they have experience of destination weddings, they'll also be well positioned to help with the planning process. A native photographer would have nothing to offer in that area.

Of course, the decision is yours. As a destination wedding photographer who has been a France wedding photographer, I'm naturally biased! But I know the value I bring to my couples planning a destination wedding - and I'd love to help you with yours!

HOW TO FIND YOUR PERFECT DESTINATION france WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life. It's a day when you make a commitment to spend the rest of your life with the person you love. And it's a day when you want everything to be perfect. That's why picking the right wedding photographer is so important. The right photographer will capture all the special moments of your wedding day, from the exchanging of vows to the first dance. They'll also be able to capture the unique style and personality of your wedding, making the photos truly one-of-a-kind. So when you're looking for a wedding photographer, don't just pick anyone with a camera. Take the time to find someone who you know will capture your wedding day perfectly. Here are my top 5 tips for finding the right France wedding photographer for you:

1. Ideally you should be booking a photographer who has experience with destination weddings. They're a different experience to shooting a wedding in the UK. There is more logistical planning, they can be more stressful for your suppliers - so finding someone with experience will help keep things calm and on plan. If they've been a France wedding photographer before, then that's an added bonus for sure.

2. Always look at a wedding photographers portfolio to ensure you think they'll be able to capture your day in the style you are wanting. Do you want it to be editorial? Perhaps you'd like it to be traditional? Speak with them about what you want to see if it's something they can offer.

3. Make sure to speak with your photographer before your wedding. Any good destination wedding photographer will likely book in a call or two to go over details, plans and answer any questions you may have. But having a call early on is a great idea, because if they're going to travel to France for your wedding, it's vital that you get on well!

4. Make sure they are available on your wedding date. Destination weddings tend to get booked earlier due to needing to block out more dates in the diary. I often receive enquiries for destination weddings 2 or 3 years beforehand.

5. Don't be shy to ask them about their travel arrangements. Knowing that they have their flights booked, where they're staying and when they're getting there can really help to calm you nerves. Your France wedding photographer should make things easier for you.
