Hotel Santa Caterina
This Hotel Santa Caterina wedding is one of those galleries I return to often. The Amalfi Coast never photographs the same way twice, and Emily and Huy's day had its own texture, shaped by the people they love and a place that made everything feel inevitable.

ROME, ITALY
Villa Livia
Tahliah and Tom brought friends and family from across the world to celebrate their wedding at Villa Livia, one of Rome's most beautiful wedding venues. Beginning in the historic streets of Rome before moving to the gardens of the Appian Way, their day blended timeless style, incredible energy, and the relaxed atmosphere that makes a destination wedding in Rome so special.

Italy has a way of making everything feel intentional. The food, the art, the architecture - none of it is accidental, and neither is the way a wedding sits inside it. A Baroque church in Puglia, a hillside vineyard in Tuscany, a palazzo on the Grand Canal: these are not just backdrops. They carry centuries of beauty in their walls, and that changes how a celebration feels.
As an Italy wedding photographer, I work with that weight rather than against it. The energy here is particular - unhurried in the afternoons, luminous at golden hour, alive at a long dinner table in a way that asks to be documented honestly. Italy wedding photography lends itself to an editorial approach: real colour, real atmosphere, the particular elegance of a celebration that knows exactly where it is.
Italy got under my skin long before I photographed a wedding here. My husband proposed to me in Rome in the Orange Gardens. We've since explored much of it: the Amalfi coast, Puglia, the lakes. But Florence keeps drawing us back. There's something about that city specifically - the scale of it, the art around every corner, the food, the particular amber of the stone in late afternoon - that feels like home.
What I notice most, photographically, is how layered Italy is. Every region has its own character, its own colour palette, its own pace. Tuscany is golden and unhurried. The Amalfi Coast is dramatic, almost operatic. Puglia is raw and sun-bleached and completely itself. Rome is Rome - ancient and alive at the same time, a city that makes everything feel significant. I've worked across all of them, and the thing they share is generosity. Italy gives you so much to work with. The light, the architecture, the food on the table, the way Italians celebrate - with real feeling, no performance required.
