Blencowe Hall
Camille grew up spending summers in the Lake District. She moved to Georgia, met Danny, and when it came to choosing where to marry, there was never really a question. Blencowe Hall felt like the only place. The landscape does something to the day. It makes everything feel settled, earned, real. That's what I try to photograph.
The Lake District does not do anything by half. The fells rise steeply from the water's edge, the light moves across the landscape in ways that change everything within minutes, and the sense of scale - standing at the edge of Windermere or looking out from the heights above Ullswater - is genuinely humbling. It is a landscape that has been inspiring poets, painters and writers for centuries, and arriving here with a camera feels less like work and more like an extraordinary privilege.
As a Lake District wedding photographer, I work with that drama. The venues here sit inside the landscape rather than beside it - grand country houses with fell views, historic hotels on the water's edge, private estates surrounded by woodland and open sky. The light shifts constantly, the seasons each bring their own character, and a celebration here has a particular quality - romantic, grounded, completely alive to where it is. Lake District wedding photography lends itself to an editorial approach: honest emotion held inside genuine drama, considered frames that do justice to both the intimacy of the day and the scale of everything surrounding it.
"Thank you doesn't do it justice! You were the best photographer and truly made our day. The photos are so good. We truly have no words."
