as a SOMERSET WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER, I’m drawn to celebrations that pair the quiet beauty of the ENGLISH COUNTRYSIDE with thoughtful DESIGN, personal STYLE and the JOY of everyone you love gathered in one place.

Hello, I’m Leah.
I live in the English countryside with my husband, Phil, our golden retriever, Darwin, and our two cats, Loki and Kobe. We love seeing new parts of the world, but I’m equally happy at home, cooking for our families, spending time in the garden and enjoying the slower rhythm of everyday life.
Travelling from a young age deepened my curiosity about people and places, and the rituals that shape our lives. I love seeing the traditions people carry with them, and the new ones they create for themselves.
Art, fashion, interiors and beautiful places shape how I see the world and, naturally, how I photograph it. I want the images to feel beautiful, considered and a little bit cool, but never at the expense of the life inside them.
After more than a decade of photographing weddings, I’m still genuinely excited by every celebration I get to be part of. Making people feel at ease comes naturally to me. I’m a family person at heart, and the people who matter to you will matter to me too.
Pick almost any direction in Somerset and the landscape will surprise you. North towards the Mendips and the ground rises into limestone escarpment, ancient and dramatic. West onto Exmoor and the moorland opens up, vast and atmospheric, the kind of terrain that makes a person feel genuinely small. Down onto the Levels and everything flattens into something almost otherworldly - water, reeds, open sky, a stillness that is particular to this corner of England and nowhere else. Somerset is not one landscape but several, and each one brings something different to the photographs.
The county's history runs just as deep. Glastonbury, Wells, the hill forts and abbeys and medieval market towns - Somerset has been at the centre of English history for centuries, and that weight is present in the land and the architecture in equal measure. The venues reflect it: grand country houses and historic estates that carry their past with confidence, set inside grounds that have been tended with care for generations.
For a Somerset wedding photographer, all of this is simply what the job looks like here. A county this varied, this historically rich, this naturally beautiful - it asks very little of you beyond showing up and paying attention. Somerset wedding photography rewards an editorial approach precisely because the material is already there. The landscape, the light, the architecture, the emotion of the day itself - Somerset holds all of it generously, and the camera catches what it catches.
