Masseria Pettolecchia
Masseria Pettolecchia, located near Fasano (which where I stayed during my last visit!), is an exquisite venue for a luxurious wedding. This beautifully renovated masseria blends traditional charm with modern comforts, offering stunning views of eight hectares of olive groves and almond trees.
Masseria Pettolecchia provides several al-fresco dining areas, including by the heated pool, the olive groves, or the frontal wall. Symbolic ceremonies can be held on the lawn among ancient olive trees or by the well. Cocktails and receptions can take place by the L-shaped pool or the covered bar area. The extensive gardens offer ample space for a sit-down dinner and dancing under the stars, with a marquee available in case of bad weather, which is unlikely in Puglia to be honest!
I have already mentioned it, but I need to double down. The pool here looks incredible, the sort of pool that you just want to dive in and drink an Aperol Spritz.
For a wedding venue in Puglia that really gives a feeling of exclusivity and privacy, I think Masseria Pettolecchia is an exceptional choice.
If you’ve been looking at wedding venues in Puglia, you’ve probably heard the term “masseria” a lot. I've got the inside scoop, as I gave our taxi driver a grilling about what exactly a masseria is.
What I have learned is that a masseria is a fortified farmhouse that’s been around since the 16th century. Imagine a mini fortress with a central courtyard, thick stone walls, and tiny windows designed to keep invaders out. Originally, masserie were working farms with the owner’s residence on the top floor and farmers’ quarters, stables, and barns on the ground floor. Today, many have been transformed into luxurious villas, hotels, and event spaces, perfect for a dreamy Italian wedding.
Masserie date back to the ancient Greeks in Italy and have survived through the Roman Empire and Middle Ages. They were built along trade routes and served as essential stops for travelers. Now, they’re mostly white-washed beauties that look amazing against the lush green landscape, perfect for those Instagram-worthy shots.

Vinilia Wine Resort
https://www.viniliaresort.com/en/
Vinilia Wine Resort is a unique venue born from the careful renovation of an early 1900s mansion. Originally built for the aristocratic Schiavone family, this neo-eclectic structure resembles a small medieval castle, complete with towers, turrets, and battlements.
The resort's rich history is evident in its preserved architectural features, such as the three-floor internal staircase with rampant masonry vaults. As is typical with venues in Puglia, the building is surrounded by olive groves and vineyards. One of the standout features for me as a photographer is the ancient terrace, which provides stunning sunset views over the vineyards—guaranteed incredible photos!
Vinilia Wine Resort offers a range of indoor and outdoor spaces for weddings, civil or symbolic celebrations. The highlight is Casamatta, their Michelin-starred restaurant, which guarantees a memorable culinary experience for you and your guests. If history and castles are your vibe, then Vinilia Wine Resort would be amazing choice for your wedding in Puglia.
